American Me (1992): surprisingly very well done. i've been wanting to see this movie ever since i joined that one gang in fresno. this movie is a ton like the godfather, only with l.a. gangs. the actors all seem so authentic. so if you're lookin to see a movie about real life gang and prison crap, you really should take a gander. if you aren't looking for that, you should still watch it cuz its really just a good movie. watch out for that shank in the butt though. i hear it will just ruin your whole day.
The Color Purple (1985): is there a steven spielberg directed movie that isn't worth buying? well, besides jaws of course. i used to hate both whoopie and oprah with a passion, but i have a completely new respect for both after seeing this movie. i seriously feel like a changed man now. now granted, it gets boring at times despite the entire story being very unique and interesting. just kind of drags, but acting acting acting!! i swear this is what can make or break a movie. don't go out and snatch this one right off of the shelf, but put it on your backup list of dvds to buy. can you believe, 11 nominations and not a single win? terrible! (although out of africa was deserving of winning that year but come on now!!)
so hollywood video is gay. spent forever last night with those rejects trying to fix my account the mr. store director screwed up when i got the movie pass. got screwed paying more money that i wanted to now. tomorrow is snowboarding day in my world. finally gonna get kim up there and do it. it will be so nice to not be alone. and i know the mountains have been getting dumped on so it should be verrrry nice. i really got nothing else right now. last few days consisted of me doing homework for my legal ethics class and that stupid online class i'm doing. been swamped with that and watching movies. oh, and don't forget sopranos!!! haven't been that excited to do something since, well i can't remember when. first two episodes have been fantastic!!! its like i never left jersey.
